Guardians of Kerry Winter, the 36-year-old South African who was killed by her ex-boyfriend Mark Arnold, a British manager, have appealed to the court to reinvestigate the case to find out where her remains were hidden by the killer.

The Court adjourned the case for verdict until May 4.

On February 7, Mark Arnold was awarded life in jail term by the Cassation Court for premeditatedly killing Winter.

The Cassation has upheld the life sentence awarded to Arnold by the Court of Appeal on December 19, 2010, which has stiffened the 15 year imprisonment followed by deportation that he had received by the Court of First Instance on June 7, 2010.

During the hearings of the case, the lawyer on behalf of the victim's guardians, Hussain Al Jaziri, argued before the Court that the convict “has killed Kerry and her family".

According to the records, Arnold was convicted guilty of battering Kerry with a baseball bat, killing her, putting her body in a big bag, tying it with weights and drowning it in the sea, using his boat.

Kerry Winter went missing in August 20, 2008, and her body was never found.

Arnold has denied the accusation during the case courting levels. However, he had confessed to the accusation before the Prosecution.

The body of the victim was not found by police and this was a point of argument raised by the defence lawyer for refuting the legality of the accusation.

The court depended on the testimonies of the witnesses for its ruling, despite the lack of the body and the murder tool.

Forensic reports showed blood stains in the victim’s car, which the convict tried to hide after the crime, according to the records.

The defence lawyer suspected the legality of the procedures and defended that police coerced his client to confess. Arnold claimed that his ex-girlfriend fabricated the case as he had left her for another woman.
