Five-month-old baby found inside box

An Asian man in Kuwait stumbled across a five-month-old baby inside a box apparently dumped by his mother in a public place in the Gulf emirate, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The man told police he was passing near a clinic in Kuwait City when he heard the boy crying inside the box, Alanba Arabic language daily said.

Police have opened an investigation into the incident and believe the baby was dumped by his mother as a result of an illegitimate affair.
