Flight deals take off for UAE residents: Delhi for Dh700, Karachi for Dh722

Airlines are offering up to 20 per cent discount on fares, with return flights to Delhi costing Dh700, while Karachi is Dh722 on flydubai.

Full fare carriers such as Emirates have also announced sales across its economy and business classes, with flights to Europe being offered at Dh1,535, while Turkish Airlines is offering discounts on fares to North America, with up to 15 per cent discounts on the base price.

As schools reopen across the UAE, the lean travel period has seen several airlines serve up discounts for flights to key gateway cities, with low cost carrier flydubai announcing a 20 per cent slash on fares to Asian cities such as Delhi, Karachi, Thiruvananthapuram , Ahmedabad and Colombo, with return airfares starting at Dh700.

The Dubai-based carrier is also offering discounted fares to Mideast destinations, with return fares to Alexandria for Dh858, Amman for Dh840 and Salalah for Dh804.

This offer can be availed before noon on September 8 for select return flights originating in Dubai between 12 September and 30 November, excluding outbound travel between 28 September and 5 October 2014.

Similarly, Emirates has announced its special fares, offering up to 15 per cent savings in Business Class and 20 per cent in Economy Class fares to selected destinations worldwide, which must be booked by 11 September for outbound travel between 10 September and 30 November.

The Dubai-based carrier is offering discounted fares across its global network, with Mideast deals starting at Dh895 for economy and Dh3,485 for business; similarly, Asia and Pacific region fares start at Dh1,385 and Dh8,070 for economy and business, respectively.

Those travelling to Moscow can nab a deal with the airline for Dh1,535 return on economy, the lowest for the Europe sector, while the Africa regional fares start at Dh1,745.

Meanwhile, the popular North and South America continents can be flown to at fares starting at Dh4,385.

Turkish Airlines has also announced its sale for flights to the US and Canada from UAE for advance bookings over the winter months to Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Washington, Boston, Toronto and Montreal.

Return flights start from Dh3,684, inclusive of all taxes, from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Montreal, via Istanbul.

The promotional return airfares can be booked from now until 30 September, for travel to and from the eight cities between 1 November and 31 March 2015.

Travellers with stopovers of more than six hours in Istanbul can enjoy the free ‘Touristanbul’ service to discover the city.

Indian carrier Jet Airways has also announced its sale with 15 per cent slashed off in Première class on flights from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah to destinations across its network.

Tickets need to be booked by September 5, with the discount applicable on base fare only and travel must commence on or before March 31, 2015.
