Free parking in Abu Dhabi for four days

Drivers will enjoy free parking for their cars for four days to mark Eid Al Fitr but they should avoid stopping their vehicles in the wrong place.

Mawaqif, an affiliate of the Department of Transport, said parking through the emirate would be free from Wednesday until Saturday, when the country’s civil servants and most private sector employees would be off work.

But the company warned drivers against parking their vehicles in wrong places or in a “random” way that will block traffic and roads in any area.

It said Mawaqif customer service offices would also be shut during that period except its main office in the town centre.
