Germans probe terror link in Frankfurt shooting
Frankfurt police say German federal authorities are investigating whether terrorism played a role in the fatal shooting of two U.S. airmen at Frankfurt airport. Two other airmen were wounded.
Frankfurt police spokesman Juergen Linker said Thursday says federal authorities were trying to determine whether the shooter was linked to terrorism.
Linker says the shooter, who has been identified as a 21-year-old ethnic Albanian from Kosovo, is to be brought before a judge on Thursday.
The man opened fire on the U.S. airmen at close range with a handgun at Frankfurt airport late Wednesday. One of the wounded airmen remains in critical condition.
