Global Village closed on Saturday due to weather

Dubai’s family leisure destination Global Village will remain closed to public on Saturday due to unstable weather, authorities announced this afternoon.

“Global Village will not be opening its gates for public today, Saturday 21st February, due to the current weather conditions in Dubai,” Global Village tweeted.

“For health and safety purposes and due to unstable weather, Event’s Security Committee decided to close the Global Village today,” Dubai Police announced through its Instagram and Twitter handles.

The Events Security Committee is a cross-department government body that includes representatives from Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the Roads and Transport Authority and the Department of Economic Development.
