74 prisoners released in Ras Al Khaimah

Acting upon instructions of His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has ordered the release of 74 prisoners from the emirates' Correctional and Punitive Establishments on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Director of Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department Hassan Saeed said the clemency will include payment of debts and financial obligations.
He added that released prisoners had shown good conduct while serving their jail terms. He praised the Ruler's gesture which, he said, would give the prisoners another chance to be good citizens and reunite with their families.
