Abu Dhabi approves sports club for women

The Executive Committee held a meeting on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Mohammed Ahmed Al Bawardi, member and the Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and gave approval for the construction of a sports club specially for women.

The project for Al-Ain Sports Club for Women will encourage women to practice sports in an ideal and suitable environment.

The Executive Committee also gave approval for a number of other projects including the central air-conditioning of the university city of the UAE University, construction of a bridge and tunnel in the Nahel area in Al Ain to connect Suweihan with Al-Heer, as well as sanitation pipelines in various parts of the Abu Dhabi Island.
