Al Maktoum Charity and Mashahid sign deal to print ‘This is Mohammed’ (PBUH)

The Al Maktoum Charity Foundation and Mashahid International Group have signed a media and cultural co-operation agreement to print "This is Mohammad", the book was registered on 27th February 2012 as the biggest book in the world, and the first Arab Book to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records, under the sponsorship of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum,Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance .

The book deals with the biography of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), and the agreement was signed by Mohammed Obaid bin Ghannam, Secretary-General of the Al Maktoum Foundation, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Aulaqi, Chairman of the Mashahid Group.

Bin Ghannam stated that the Foundation, upon the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will purchase fifty thousand copies of the book in both Arabic and English, affirming that the book will contribute positively to introducing Islamic culture and civilisation to the world.

Dr. Al-Aulaqi said that this agreement will be a first step towards fruitful cooperation relations between the Group and the Al Maktoum Foundation, a foundation that enjoys a prominent role in humanitarian work both regionally and internationally. He added that Mashahid Group has defined a set of important basics to be followed prior to beginning the "This is Mohammed" project. These included an inclusive study of the environment of the project, possible sensitive scenarios and their suitable solutions, through providing highly-qualified experts to supervise and execute the project.
