The body of martyr Obaid Salem Saeed Albadwawi arrived on Sunday at the Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, on board a military plane.
Upon arrival, a special military ceremony was held in honour of the body of the martyr at the airport, in the presence of a number of senior armed forces' officers.
Albadwawi was killed when his car overturned while on duty as part of the forces participating in ‘Operation Restoring Hope’, an Arab coalition-led by Saudi Arabia to back the legitimate government of Yemen.
UAE announces martyrdom of serviceman
The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces on Sunday announced the death of martyr Obaid Salem Saeed Al Badwawi, in a military vehicle accident in Saudi Arabia during preparations to take part in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's 'Operation Restoring Hope' in Yemen.
The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces extended sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the martyr, praying to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in eternal peace.
