His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received hundreds of chairmen and CEOs of Arab and foreign investment banks and companies operating in the UAE as well as a group of Arab and foreign businessmen who called on him to greet him on the advent of Ramadan.
Sheikh Mohammed also received His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, UAE Supreme Council member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain who offered Ramadan greetings.
He later received a delegation of senior Armed Forces staff led by Lt. General Obaid bin Ali Al Ka'abi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Defence, and Lt. General Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi.
Sheikh Mohammed also received senior officers from the Ministry of Interior and Dubai Police.
The meeting with leading businessmen at Zabeel Palace on Sunday night was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, other sheikhs, minister and top government officials.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed all UAE-bound people and investments to peacefully live and do business in a tolerant, safe and stable environment.
"The UAE is quite unique in its harmony and respect for guests," Sheikh Mohammed said.
The guests expressed gladness at meeting with Sheikh Mohammed in Ramadan which represents solidarity and love among the members of the UAE community which champions equality among all people and rejects discrimination on the basis of race, color or religion.
A number of businessmen and investors who expressed optimism about the financial and economic climate in the UAE, thanks to the prudence, wisdom farsightedness and of the country's top leadership.
