Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences has announced the winners in its three main categories.
A total of Dh2.8 million will be given in prizes to the winners in the sixth edition of the awards, which include International Awards, Arab Awards and UAE Awards.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Award Board, Dr. Hanif Hassan, said that the awards will be given at a special ceremony in December in Dubai.
Dr Najeeb Al Khaja, Secretary General of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences announced the names of the winners in the three main categories which included the Grand Hamdan International Award, Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence and Hamdan Award for Volunteers in Humanitarian Medical Services.
In the Arab World Awards category, the awards were announced the Hamdan Award for Best Medical College/ Institute and Hamdan Award for Distinguished Personality.
The UAE Awards category included Hamdan Award for Outstanding Clinical Department in the public sector in the UAE, Hamdan Award for distinguished personality working in the field of medicine and health, Hamdan Award for Original Research paper published and Hamdan Award to support Medical Research in the UAE.
