His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday briefed the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, on UAE Strategy 2021 and the government's efforts to enhance UAE's global status and competiveness through a number of organisations that work in harmony.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his confidence that Egypt, under the leadership of El Sisi, is on the path to stability and prosperity so that it can play its important role in the region.
Sheikh Mohammed briefed the Egyptian delegation on UAE's e-government programme and plans to transform government services into smart services.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation; Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State; Mohammed Al Dhahiri, UAE Ambassador to Egypt; and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol Department.
Sheikh Mohammed and El Sisi were accompanied by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of Coordination Office of the UAE-funded Development Projects in Egypt, Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai.
