Gen. Mohamed receives Al Ain FC team

General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Tuesday evening at Al Bahr Palace, Al Ain Football Club team that won the UAE Arabian Gulf Football League for Professionals 2014- 2015.

He congratulated the administrative and technical staff and players for this achievement, citing their efforts during the season that earned them the trophy.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi also commended all teams nationwide for exerting efforts to upgrade the UAE football, urging them to exert more efforts to boost the country's competitiveness at the regional and continental levels.

He also asserted the importance of the UAE Arabian Gulf Football League, being a real perspective for the football excellence and important contributor to national teams to strengthen their ranks.

Sheikh Mohamed praised the existing sports partnerships and the role of various sponsoring and supporting institutions, highlighting the importance of cooperation in the implementation of quality projects that serve everyone, whether in sports or the community, to keep pace with the development in the country.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the players thanked the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for his continuous support to the sports. They also thanked Sheikh Mohamed for his follow-up, adding that their roles were important in stimulating and encouraging the players to make efforts for the development of sports in the UAE and score various achievements.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of Al Ain club football company.
