Hamdan welcomes WIEF participants

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has welcomed the participants of the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF), which will convene in Dubai from October 28 to 30.

Organised by the World Islamic Economic Economy Foundation (WIEF Foundation) in collaboration with Dubai Chamber and Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre, the forum will see more than 2,500 participants from more than140 countries around the globe.

On this occasion, Sheikh Hamdan said that hosting such an event only affirms UAE’s position as an Islamic economy centre on the international economic map. This also reflects Dubai’s status as the capital of Islamic economy and its ability to achieve the goals carefully set in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai

The forum acts as an international platform to expand innovative partnership and forms a good bridge between the experts to boast the role of Islamic economy across different markets. It is noteworthy that the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum is held under the theme 'Innovative Partnerships for Economic Growth'.

Top of the agenda for discussion will be Global Economic Outlook: Developing a Resilient Model for Developing Economies; Global Financial Landscape ; Islamic Finance’s Pivotal Role in Enabling Trade & Streamlining the Halal Supply Chain, Socialising Education and the Role of Universities, Retaining Young Talents, Sustainable Urban Planning – Creating Smart Infrastructure and Holistic Communities, etc.
