Khalifa, Mohammed bid farewell to Qaboos

His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman left Al Ain Tuesday at the conclusion of a two-day visit, during which he discussed bilateral relations and ways to bolster Oman-UAE ties in various fields with President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Sultan Qaboos and his delegation were seen off by Sheikh Khalifa  and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Present on the occasion were Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and head of honour mission accompanying the guest, Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, UAE Ambassador to Oman, Mohammed Ali Al Osaimi, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al Qatabi, Oman's Ambassador to the UAE in addition to a number of senior officials.

Meanwhile Sultan Qaboos, in a cable sent to Sheikh Khalifa following his departure, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Khalifa for the warm and generous hospitality during his stay in UAE.

Sultan Qaboos pointed out that the visit comes within the framework of ongoing communication and coordination between the two countries, reflecting the fraternal and historical ties between people and to enhance partnership opportunities in various areas of cooperation. He also prayed to Allah almighty for Sheikh Khalifa's continued health and wellness and for enabling him to make more achievements in the country's march into progress and prosperity.
