Khalifa orders plane to airlift injured citizen

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered a medical aircraft, with an officer from the Ministry of Interior and a medical team from the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi on board, to airlift an Emirati citizen injured in a traffic accidents in the Sultanate of Oman, to complete treatment in the UAE.

According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, the 48 years old citizen suffered a head injury after a traffic accident in the Wilayat of Thumrait in the Sultanate of Oman on Friday.

He was taken to the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah for treatment.

President receives Eid well-wishers

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received on Sunday at Al Rawda Palace in Al Ain, and in presence of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Adha from Sheikhs, ministers, Executive Council members, armed forces and police officers, senior officials, dignitaries and citizens.

Eid greetings were also offered to Sheikh Khalifa by ambassadors of the GCC countries.
