Mohamed bin Zayed at Sisi's inauguration

General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, has conveyed greetings and congratulations of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to Field Marshal Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the occasion of taking the oath of office on Sunday as Egypt's new president.

This came during Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's attendance of Field Marshal El Sisi's swearing-in ceremony at Al Ittihadiya presidential palace alongside world and Arab leaders, delegates, senior representatives of international organisations.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed congratulated President El Sisi on winning the confidence of the people of Egypt as their country's leader in this historic and crucial stage.

He also prayed to Almighty Allah for the success of President El Sisi in his mission for the glory, progress and prosperity of Egypt and its people.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was accompanied to El Sisi's inauguration ceremony by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Egypt, and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.

Mohamed bin Zayed meets el-Sisi, reiterates UAE's support to Egypt

General Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, re-affirmed that UAE's support for Egypt is a firm principle.

"UAE was and will always be loyal to Egypt and will always be its strong supporter," said General Mohamed in his remarks as he was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Sunday.

General Mohamed also noted that "the relations with Egypt are historic, strategic and are supported and followed up by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in accordance with the approach founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, for standing for the brothers in Egypt at all times and circumstances."

General Mohamed was accompanied to Cairo by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA); Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Egypt; and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.

General Mohamed also conveyed to President el-Sisi greetings and congratulations from the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as well as from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He conveyed their best wishes for continuous security and stability for Egypt and progress and prosperity for its people.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the strong fraternal relations and cooperation between UAE and Egypt.

The discussions took in aspects of cooperation between UAE and Egypt and ways of bolstering them in all spheres in the service of their interests and the aspirations of their peoples. They also discussed regional developments and exchanged views on a number of matters and issues of common concern.

They stressed on the importance of diversifying and expanding cooperation between the two countries, in economic, investment and development avenues in particular.

General Mohamed expressed his hopes that the new Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will succeed in achieving growth for Egypt and establishing a new stage for Egypt to continue its growth and progress and its pivotal regional role.

"The UAE leadership's vision for Egypt focuses on the ability of the Egyptian people to fulfil their national ambitions and aspirations, continue the building of their country and achieve stability and development across their country," General Mohamed said emphasising the importance of backing Egypt's economy and enabling the country's institutions to implement their missions in order for Egypt to remain strong, stable and proud.

He also expressed his wishes for glory, welfare and continuous security and stability for Egypt. He wished that the Egyptian people will fulfil their national ambitions aspirations for progress and dignified life.

On his part, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi requested General Mohamed to convey his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikh Mohammed.
