Mohamed receives Grade 12 top achievers

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, honoured outstanding students of Grade 12 nationwide for their perseverance and excellent performance.

On Tuesday evening at Al Bateen Palace, Sheikh Mohamed outstanding students of state level, and distinguished students of Abu Dhabi Education Council, Adult Education and the Applied Technology High School. They were accompanied by their parents, teachers and educational officials from different educational zones nationwide.

Among others present were Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Diab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed congratulated talented students on their excellent performance in the final exams. "I'm very happy today to see our children, be they Emiratis or expatriates, attaining the highest grades."  He thanked their parents on their eagerness and care in urging children to make the effort in pursuit of the educational achievement, perseverance and academic excellence.

"You represent an important quality for building nations. The nations are built by qualified and efficient cadres. You are role models," Sheikh Mohamed said.

While greeting the students, Sheikh cited the role model Emirati family, who devote to serve diligently in the Armed Forces. "Sitting beside me is Mohammed Al Tunaiji, a soldier in the Armed Forces in the land forces brigade. Accidentally, we discovered he and his three sons are performing their national duty together in the field of honour and splendour, along with their fellow protectors of the homeland. Of course, this great quality of our Emirati children have the nation at heart and wave their country's flag with honour."

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi greeted the national spirit of the UAE nationals in all fields, expressing his pride about these role models who are keen on boosting their homeland and catapult it to the glory."

He noted that the UAE, led by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, takes interest in education as it would lead the path of innovation, creativity, ambition, and urban development. Sheikh Mohamed underscored that honouring such a constellation of talented students "is a duty towards building future and encouraging the outstanding ones to continue excelling in all academic disciplines."

Sheikh Mohamed also thanked the teaching staff who are beacons of education and civilisation in the past, present and future.  "The teachers' performance is not just a profession or function but rather a civilised message upon which destinies of nations depends upon." He reiterated his pride in the role of the teacher in preparing educated, conscious generations, who love the homeland and confident about their capabilities.

He exchanged with the students, their parents and teachers greetings on the occasion of Ramadan. Sheikh Mohamed also exchanged views with them about their future ambitions and aspirations to serve their country and community.

For their part, the students and their parents thanked the UAE President for his support continuous support to the education, and also cited the follow-up of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to advance the education.

The reception was also attended by Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education; Jameela bint Salem Misbah Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education; Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education; Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Education Council and a number of officials of the education sectors in the UAE.

Mohamed receives officials, diplomats from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Int'l Cooperation

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday received senior officials and diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at Al Bateen Palace.

They exchanged greetings on the advent of Ramadan and prayed to God to bless the UAE with continued progress, prosperity and security under the leadership of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They also prayed to God to bless Sheikh Khalifa with good health.

Those who attended the meeting included Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Dhiyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and a number of officials.

The ministry's officials wished for continued good health and well-being for H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

Mohamed bin Zayed receives Al Wahda FC team

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, in the presence of Sheikh Diab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Al Wahda Sports Club, received Al Wahda football team – the winners of the Arabian Gulf Football Cup for the season 2015-2016.
Sheikh Mohamed exchanged Ramadan greetings with the players, management and technical staff of Al Wahda club. They all wished further progress and prosperity to the UAE and its people.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi congratulated the players, management and technical staff on winning the cup, and wished them further successes. He also expressed hope that the results of local sports competitions would reflect on the performance of the national teams in regional and international competitions.

Mohamed receives Al Jazira Club team

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received Al Jazira Sports & Cultural Club football team and winner of the UAE President's Cup 2-015-2016.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and honourary chairman of Al Jazira Sports & Cultural Club, was also present.

Sheikh Mohamed exchanged Ramadan greetings with the players and the administrative and technical staff of the team, wishing further progress, security and safety to the UAE and prosperity to the Emiratis.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince congratulated the players and the administrative and technical staff on winning this important championship, especially it is named after President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also praised the tireless efforts of the technical and administrative staff of the club.

Sheikh Mohamed said that the development of local competitions is the cornerstone on which national teams builds their achievements, adding "The more we give interest to these competitions, the more we will accomplish victories in the regional and international events and competitions."

He also commended the role played by all the participant football teams in the UAE President Cup to promote the Emirati football to the best in order to present an honourable image of the UAE sports.

He reaffirmed that everyone has a pivotal role to develop sports in the UAE, whether clubs, federations, the public or national institutions and private entities sponsoring sports competitions.

The players hailed the support provided by the wise leadership to sports in the country and the tireless follow up of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed which had a significant role in promoting and encouraging various sports to position the UAE among the developed countries in this sector.
