Mohammed attends camel race at Marmum

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,  Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended on Wednesday the final round of Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Camel Racing Cup at Al Marmum racetrack. 

Accompanying Sheikh Mohammed to the race were Dubai Crown Prince, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Finance Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Al Murr bin Maktoum Al Maktoum and Chairman of the Camel Race Organising Committee Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Faisal Al Thani.

“Al Jazeera”, belonging to camel owner and breeder Al Qaaqaa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, won the Maktoum bin Rashid Cup open category during the Al Marmoum 2013 racing season.

Ridden by Sultan Mohammed Al Wahbi, “Al Jazeera” finished the 5km race with a record time of 7:25:06 minutes.
