Mohammed attends Sheikha Fatima Endurance Cup

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Endurance Cup at the Emirates International Endurance Village at Al Wathba.

The 90-km race saw the participation of 106 female riders from the UAE stables upon the directives of  Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The event was attended by heikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed.

The race was sponsored by the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, National Archive, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Tourism Development and Investment Company, Abu Dhabi Investment Company, General Woman Union, Emirates Women Sports Committee, Emirates Falconers' Club Abu Dhabi, Al Awani , Dr. Nader Sa'b and Paradise Resort.

The awards of the race were 5 vehicles to top five winners and Dh3,000 for those who completed the race.

An Argentina rider  was crowned top, finishing 02:58.40 hours at speed 30.22 km/h, followed by a Spanish rider, finishing 02:58:41 hours at speed 30:22 km/h, while Emirati rider, Ayat Abdul Reda came third, finishing 2:59:17 hours at speed 30:12 km/h   

Dubai International Endurance City 100km Ride

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the Dubai International Endurance City 100km Ride (CEN) restricted to private stables and individuals, in Saih Al Salam.

Accompanying Sheikh Mohammed to the race was Dubai Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Rider Saif Ahmed Al Mazrooei won the DIEC Ride - CEN 100km, riding Zelzaal for SS Stables, finishing the race in 3:32:09 hours, followed by Ahmad Yousuf Al Bloushi who came second, mounting Zazzy's Duke for Zabeel Stables.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed also attended the DIEC Ride CEN 120km Open Ride, held at the Dubai International Endurance City (DIEC) in Saih Al Salam.

Present at the race were Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Organised by Dubai Equestrian Club in collaboration with the Emirates Equestrian Federation and sponsorship of International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), the race saw the participation of 162 riders from different stables in the UAE.

Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum won the race, riding 'Hadeer' for MRM stables, finishing in 4.33.55 hours. Ghanim Saeed Al Owaisi, riding 'Wameedh' for Fazza 3 Stables, came second, recording 4.33.56 hours; while his brother Salem Al Owaisi came third, mounting 'Quettea De Pano Cresse for Fazza 2 Stables.

Concluding the race, Vice-Chairman of Dubai Equestrian Club Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, along with Deputy General Manager of Dubai Equestrian Club Mohammed Al Adhab and Director of Business Support Department (IPIC) Mohamed Abdullah Al Suwaidi presented the trophies to the three winners with 4X4 cars given to the top five winners.
