Mohammed bin Rashid, Turkish minister discuss economic ties

The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received on Thursday at Al Marmoum resort Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, who conveyed to Sheikh Mohammed the regards of the Turkish Prime Minister Rajab Tayeb Ardogan.

The Vice President and the Turkish minister exchanged views on a number of financial and economic issues of common interest, and ways to further boost the economic and trade cooperation between the UAE and Turkey in the light of the joint economic committee.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pleasure about the gradual progress at the level of bilateral cultural, investment, tourism and trade relations, indicating that the UAE was looking forward to further bolster the relations between the two countries.

On his part, the Turkish minister said that Ankara was keen to upgrade the bilateral relations with the UAE, especially the trade relations projected to reach $10 billion in 2015 instead of the current trade volume of $3 billion.

Present were Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Dubai Ruler, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Reem Al Hashimi, State Minister, Mohammed Al Shebani, Director General of the Dubai Ruler's Court, a number of officials and the Turkish delegation accompany the minister.
