General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met in London on Thursday at 10 Downing Street the British Prime Minister David Cameron.

Present were Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.

The British PM welcomed Sheikh Mohammed's visit, saying, "it reflects the depth of historic relations between the UAE and Britain," stressing that Britain was keen to support and further develop the ties in the best interest of the two countries and peoples.

For his part, the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince emphasised keenness of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to expand the scope of bilateral joint cooperation in a way that reflects such relations.

The two sides discussed the latest developments in the regional and international arenas, focusing on the support of the UAE to efforts of the Palestinian Authority to get the international recognition of independent Palestinian statehood through full United Nations membership. They also tackled the situation in Libya and their support to the Libyan National Transitional Council to restore security and stability for the Libyan people.

Also present were Khaldoun Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Authority, UAE Ambassador to the UK Abdulrahman Al Mutaiwee and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court.
