Mohammed clinches Austin Park's Endurance Race Title

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,  Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, led the UAE team in London yesterday to win the Austin Park Endurance Race in Britain.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince took part in the event in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Dubai Ruler, Minister of Finance, a number of officials and endurance race fans.

The-65 riders, including King of Malaysia, participated in the six-stage race. Teams from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Morocco, the US, Australia, Britain, France, Germany, Spain and others contested in the 160-kilometre race.

By winning the race the UAE team have qualified for the World Endurance Race Championship, which will be held in London in August 2012.
