Mohammed honours Creative Sports Award winners
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today honoured the winners of the seventh Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award, in a ceremony at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
- Pilot Staff-Brigadier Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority- Local Sports Institution.
- HRH Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia - Arab Sports Personality.
- HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein - Local Sports Personality.
Earlier this morning, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Jejomar Binay, Vice President of the Philippines, and the accompanying delegation in Dubai.
Also present was Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Vice President of the Philippines, stressing the importance of further developing the friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of the Philippines at various levels, particularly in the economic, air transport and tourism fields.
The Vice President of the Philippines expressed the interest of his country's president, government and people to develop bilateral relations with the UAE to achieve the common interests of the two friendly peoples and countries.
He expressed his thanks for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for the care and attention the Filipino community received in the UAE as the Filipinos living in the country are enjoying their full rights in the various fields of work.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, and Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy.
Also present were Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, and Constancio R. Vingno, Ambassador of the Philippines.
