Mohammed honours partners of president's Initiative 'Absher'

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, honoured today at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi the partners of the President's Initiative “Absher” which aims at promoting the participation of national cadres in the labour market.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs attended the event.
Sheikh Mohammed said following the honouring reception: ''The is an outstanding initiative by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan that seeks to serve the country and the citizens in order to secure a decent life for them".
He extended thanks to Sheikh Mansour for supporting the initiative. He also commended all private sectors that participated in supporting the initiative and contributed in the development of national income.
''I call upon the private sector, to participate in these kinds of initiatives to contribute to the national work,'' Sheikh Mohammed said adding that the private sector controls about five million jobs and is the biggest operator in the country.
In a statement made ahead of the ceremony Sheikh Mansour said: “It is an honour for me to announce the launch of this initiative 'Absher' of Sheikh Khalifa who believes that human resource is the base of the development and the cornerstone for all developmental programmes which are implemented by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's Government".
He stressed that 'Absher' is a completion for the national efforts that come from the philosophy of empowerment in which government and the private sectors believe.
The event was attended by a number of Sheikhs, ministers and other dignitaries.
Mohammed bin Rashid annual grant distributed
UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presented his generous annual donation to Islamic establishments and holy Quran memorization centers registered at the Islamic Affairs '&' Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai.
IACAD's Assistant Director General for Charitable Affairs Juma Obaid Al Falasi distributed the grant in a special ceremony held at IACAD headquarter.
Director-General of IACAD Dr. Hamad Bin Al Sheikh Ahmed Al- Shaibani, in a statement which was delivered on his behalf by Deputy Chairman of the Senior Scholars Authority at IACAD Mohammed Ahmed Al Qurashi, hailed Sheikh Mohammed for his continuous support lent to the Holy Quran Memorization Centers and Charitable societies at all levels.
He explained that the number of Holy Quran centers and Islamic institutions that benefitted from the donation reached 37 centers and foundations.
He affirmed the importance of this grant in spreading religious awareness and Islamic Culture.
