Mohammed meets heads of companies

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed met with representatives of more than 500 global and Arab companies. (Al Bayan)

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with representatives of more than 500 global and Arab companies operating in the sectors of technology, tourism, education, media, banking and healthcare in the UAE.

In a meeting concluding his Ramadan evenings for this year, Sheikh Mohammed exchanged greetings on the occasion of Ramadan with guests in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group;  Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs; Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Court of Dubai Ruler; Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs; Sami Al Qamzi, Director of Department of Economic Development of Dubai; Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department; Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director-General of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and a number of officials.

Sheikh Mohammed urged the heads of companies to focus on innovation and seek help from the country's relevant authorities to promote the culture of innovation in the UAE and their countries.

He emphasised that these companies continue to be supported by him and the leadership, government and institutions of the UAE.

Welcoming business leaders in the UAE, he noted that their dignity and religious, human and financial rights are protected by the country's laws, and that the UAE welcomes all Muslims and non-Muslims regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality and religion into its culturally and humanly consistent society.

 He also called upon them to present any innovative proposals and ideas to contribute towards creating a favourable environment for innovation and creativity.
 
The guests hailed the UAE's ability to make economic and civilisational progress despite global crises and noted that Islamic economy has become a pillar of the economies of the UAE and other Islamic countries.
