Mohammed meets new ambassadors

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has received credentials of new ambassadors of fraternal and friendly countries at Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi.
Present were Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.
Sheikh Mohammed received the credentials of ambassadors Kanji Fujiki of Japan, Liborio Stellino of Italy, Maya Tissafi of Switzerland, Osama Ibrahim Nafa'a of Hungary, Mohammed Amin Al Kareb of Sudan, Merete Juhl of Denmark, Riitta Swan of Finland, Zoran Milicevic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wael Al Sayed Mohammed Gad of Egypt, Hadi bin Nasser Al Hajri of Qatar, and Frank Molen of the Netherlands, and Patrizio Fondi, Head of the European Union delegation to the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them and their families a pleasant stay, living, stability and harmony in the diverse Arab-Muslim community, which warmly embraces hundreds of people from different nationalities and cultures with generosity, love and tolerance.
In a cordial chat with the diplomats, Sheikh Mohammed said that the doors of his office and those of other sheikhs, ministers and senior officials are always open for joint consultations and exchange of constructive views and ideas that would open up new avenues of co-operation between our state and people, and nations and people of their respective countries for the welfare and benefit of all.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to facilitate their diplomatic mission with access to other officials and institutions in the state in order to discharge their duties properly.
The Vice-President noted that the UAE, which has humble expertise and human competences in various fields, particularly scientific, economic, financial and tourism, is ready to share experiences with fellow and friendly countries.
''Our state offers abundant opportunities for decent living, feasible investment and innovative and creative energies, which create a solid, broad base for attracting smart minds, capital, businessmen and investors in addition to tourists who have a passion for diverse, rich cultures and indigenous heritage of our state and people as well as all facilities for medical tourism,'' Sheikh Mohammed noted.
Concluding his statement, Sheikh Mohammed also emphasised that the UAE, led by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is working on building bridges of communication and co-operation with other sisterly and friendly countries to forge a universal human community based on peaceful co-existence, equality, justice and respect for others without distinction to race, religion and language.
The new envoys expressed their delight at representing their respective countries in the UAE, which they said enjoys stability, security and decent living for those who residing and living on its soil, thanks to the wise leadership of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They also emphasised that they would do whatever in their power to build strong, balanced ties between their respective countries and people and the leadership, government and people of the UAE.



Present also were Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Director of Dubai Ruler’s Office, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
New UAE ambassadors sworn in before Mohammed bin Rashid

Six new UAE ambassadors to friendly countries have been sworn in before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Present at the event were Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.
Those who took the oath of office were UAE Ambassadors-designate Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Bana to India, Mohammed Yusouf Al Awadi to Peru, Gazi Abdullah Al Mahri to Ethiopia, Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Tunaiji to Mongolia, Khaled Omran to Japan and Badr Abdullah Al Matrouchi to Cuba.
The new ambassadors pledged loyalty to their state and its president, respect for the constitution and laws, and place the state's interests over any other considerations, while performing their diplomatic tasks with a high sense of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.
Sheikh Mohammed wished the ambassadors success in their missions consistent with the foreign policy in order to serve the UAE's higher interests abroad. HH urged them to set a good example in upholding high morality and good treatment of all people, notably the UAE citizens in host countries.
''The interest of the UAE and its citizens is top priority over any other personal interests and calculations. There is no way for compromising the state’s international prestigious reputation and standing or our people's higher interest,'' HH underscored.
He also expressed confidence that UAE ambassadors abroad would implement directives given by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister, who is personally along with his aides following up the performance of the ambassadors and keep them well informed about new developments within the ministry and the state in general.
Sheikh Mohammed urged them to promote the UAE's cultural, humanitarian, economic and tourist potentials so as to attract more tourists, businessmen, scientists and intellectuals in order to see for themselves the local rich culture, heritage and traditions.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Lt.
