Mohammed orders 346 prisoners released

 His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the release of 346 prisoners of various nationalities from penal and reform institutions in the emirate on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The move comes in line with Sheikh Mohammed's keen interest to reunify prisoners with their families.

Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney-General of Dubai, said that the Public Prosecution Department, in cooperation with the General Command of Dubai Police, had started to implement the necessary procedures to carry out the order of Sheikh Mohammed before the advent of Eid al-Adha

Speaking on the occasion, Al Humaidan thanked Sheikh Mohammed and expressed his appreciation for this generous gesture, which reflects his care and attention to humanitarian situations at both local and international levels.
