Mohammed ratifies DHA pricing mechanism

UAE Vice President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, has issued a decree ratifying the pricing mechanism for the services of the Dubai Health Authority DHA).

The decree stipulated that the prices of various diagnostic and therapeutic services provided by the DHA will be fixed through a decision by the Director General of the DHA after a written approval from the Department of Finance. The decree also made it mandatory to adopt a manual prepared by the Department as the basis for the pricing of the services provided by DHA.

With regard to the incurring of costs of services provided by the DHA, the decree stipulated that either the patient or the health insurance firm should bear them in accordance with the tariff.

The decree also contained provisions on services given to citizens, GCC nationals and patients who need emergency care.

Mohammed patronizes Joint Command and Staff College graduation ceremony

The Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has patronized the graduation ceremony of the 21st batch of Command and Staff Officers at the Joint Command and Staff College in Abu Dhabi today.

The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Lt.General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, Abdullah Al Masaood, Chairman of the National Consultative Council (NCC), Lieutenant General Obaid Mohammed Al Ka'abi, Under Secretary of Defence Ministry, Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Misbah Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai along with a number of senior officials and members of the diplomatic corps.

Mohammed issues resolution promoting 1,300 DRND staffers

Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued a resolution promoting 1,300 Officers, noncommissioned officers and members of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai (DRND).

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate Of residency And Foreigners Affairs - Dubai expressed thanks and gratitude to Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and vowed that the DRND members will continue to work hard and will be remain committed to leadership and the homeland.

He said this gesture will give stimulus to working staff in exerting more efforts, excellence and innovation in serving the public particularly those dealing with the directorate. He urged the staff to do their best in order to develop their practical and administrative abilities as well as in discharging national responsibilities.

Sheikh Mohammed meets 100 youth volunteers, highlights significance of voluntary work

Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the UAE community was founded on love of goodness and charity.

He added Emirati youth are not affluent isolated class from the society, but their hearts are filled with goodness and tender.

The remarks were made, while meeting 100 Emirati youth, who have social communication networking voluntary initiatives, at the Mohammed bin Rashid Policy Majlis.

Sheikh Mohammed underlined during the meeting with the youth that "the UAE has a soft international power that makes us proud among the nations", citing the humanitarian, charitable and volunteer initiatives that do not distinguish between race or colour or religion, but for persons in need wherever they are. Tens of millions worldwide have so far benefited from the voluntary and humanitarian initiatives of the UAE.

He said that the UAE is not only an international financial centre or a global economic hub, but it is also a major humanitarian centre on the world stage.

"I have been joyfully following up all the individual and group voluntary initiatives. I'm pleased with innovated youth ideas in the field of volunteering, humanitarian and societal work. Seeds of goodness are there in all individuals of community, but we need more fresh ideas to activate these seeds," Sheikh Mohammed added.

He said "let us begin with an initiative call Voluntary Week to launch new ideas in different voluntary fields".

Sheikh Mohammed said the volunteering is a great Islamic value, which had played greater roles in history. "It is not confined on the needy only, but we want the voluntary work to cover wider categories".

He was briefed about the voluntary initiatives carried out by the youth, urging them to continue the voluntary work and tackle any difficulties positively with self-denial.
