Mohammed receives Emir of Qatar

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday at his Palace in Zabeel.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the visit of the Emir of Qatar to the UAE, stressing the depth of fraternal relations and the social and cultural ties in the framework of values, customs and joint history that bonds the two sisterly peoples.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Tamim discussed the fraternal relations between the UAE and Qatar, and ways to enhance them in various fields and at all levels for the benefit of the two sisterly peoples and peoples of the GCC countries.

The meeting was attended Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Dubai Ruler's Court, Lieutenant-General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Police and Public Security, Lt. General Misbah bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President, along with a number of senior officials, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality, along with a number of ministers, dignitaries, senior civilian and military officials and Juma Rashid Saif Al Dhahiri, UAE Ambassador to Qatar.

The meeting was also attended by the delegation accompanying Sheikh Tamim, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Assistant Director of the Prime Minister's Office for International Relations, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Jassim Al Thani, Minister of Economy and Trade, Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, Minister of Youth and Sports and Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Othman, Qatar's Ambassador to the UAE.
 
Sheikh Mohammed hosted a lunch banquet in honour of Sheikh Tamim and the delegation accompanying him, as well as a number of sheikhs, ministers and dignitaries along with senior officials.
