Mohammed receives Iraqi PM

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Prime Minister of Iraq Dr. Haider Al Abadi in Dubai on Monday evening. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, was also present at the meeting.

Sheikh Mohammed reviewed with Al Abadi a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as ways to enhance bilateral relations and increase cooperation between the two countries in different fields.

Welcoming the Iraqi Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation, Sheikh Mohammed renewed the support of the UAE government and its people for Iraqi people in their endeavour to rebuild their country after defeating terrorism and armed groups, which had wreaked havoc on the Iraqi infrastructure, economy and the social fabric among different segments of the society.

He stressed the importance of rallying international efforts to fight terrorism, to pave the way for economic and social development in the region and to provide education and job opportunities to the youth.

Sheikh Mohammed referred to the UAE as a role model for peaceful co-existence among different cultures and ethnicities who enjoy living in a tolerant environment which promotes innovation and excellence.

The meeting touched on the situation in Iraq, and Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the latest developments there and the challenges posed by the armed groups and efforts made to unify the Iraqi ranks in confronting them.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the need to engage different components of the Iraqi community in the process of building a modern country, based on tolerance and rejection of sectarianism under a strong and inclusive government. He expressed confidence on the ability of the new government and the Iraqi people to overcome the challenges and to realise their aspirations.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation;  Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs; Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi Al Dhaheri, Minister of Justice; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of Dubai Ruler's Court; Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department and Iraqi Ambassador Muwafaq Al Hadi. 
 

Leaders mourn Sheikha Fatima

The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a cable of condolences to His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, on the death of his sister Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, mother of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, who died last night.

Sheikh Khalifa expressed his condolences, praying to Allah to rest her soul in peace and grant solace to her family.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, sent a similar cable to His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, on the death of Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid.

General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to  Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.

Mohammed offers condolences

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has offered his condolences to His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, on the death of Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, sister of His Highness Sheikh Humaid, who passed away last night.

 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid offered his condolences in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council,Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and  Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.

The condolences were offered to the son and brother of the deceased when Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum  paid a visit to the Al Rumailah Palace in Fujairah on Monday.

The Ruler of Dubai was accompanied by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, and a number of Sheikhs and officials.

The Court of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has mourned the death of Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, mother of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and sister of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman .

The Ruler’s Court has extended its deepest condolences to  Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and  Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.

The Court of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has mourned the death of Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, mother of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and sister of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman .

The Ruler’s Court has extended its deepest condolences to Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and  Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.

In its statement, the court prayed to Allah to rest her soul in peace and grant solace to her family.

UAQ Ruler's Court mourns death of Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Nuaimi

The Court of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, has mourned the death of Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Nuaimi, mother of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and sister of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman .

The Ruler’s Court has extended its deepest condolences to Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and  Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.

In its statement, the court prayed to Allah to rest her soul in peace and grant solace to her family, announcing a three-day mourning, starting on Monday, during which flags will fly at half-mast.
