Mohammed receives Lanka President

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received today at Zabeel Palace Mahinda Rajapaksa, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the UAE and Sri Lanka, in addition to broadening cooperation bridges and joint investment especially in the tourism sector.

Sri Lankan President expressed his country's desire to build investment partnership with the UAE in order to develop tourism sector, hailing the cultural renaissance being witnessed by the UAE in all domains.

Among those who attended the meeting were Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler's Court of Dubai, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy-Chairman of Dubai police and Public Security, other senior officials and Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the UAE Dr. Mahinda Balasuriya.

Mohammed bin Rashid receives President of Senegal

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today received President Macky Sall of Senegal and the ministerial delegation accompanying him at the Zabeel Palace.

Sheikh Mohammed and the visiting President exchanged talks about a number of topics related to energy issues and bilateral relations between the UAE and Senegal and ways to develop them for the benefit to the peoples of the two friendly countries.

The Senegalese president praised the development achieved by the UAE in various fields.  He also expressed his country's desire to benefit from the expertise of the UAE in the sector of infrastructure, especially in terms of the expansion of the Senegalese Port of Dakar, which is operated and managed by DP World, in addition to the development of roads and transport networks in Senegal.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed noted that the UAE is supporting brothers and friends in all areas to serve the peoples of these countries and people of the UAE.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler's Court, Government of Dubai, and Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, as well as by a number of senior officials.

Mohammed bin Rashid sends a number of Dubai Police officers to retirement

In his capacity as Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,  Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has issued a resolution sending a number of police officers to retirement.

Those included in the resolution were Major General Khalfan Abdullah Al Muhairi, Major General Rashid Ali Rashid Al Mazrouie, Major General Dr. Jasim Mohammed Jasim Al Muhairi, Major General Mohammed Eid Al Mansouri, Major General Mohammed Humaid Al Suwaidi, Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi Al Asmawi, Brigadier Mohammed Obeid bin Abed and Brigadier Nader Mohamed Fikri.

Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazina, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, paid tribute to the loyal, dedicated police force pioneers for their remarkable achievements, maintaining Dubai Police's bright reputation and for leaving spectacular marks on Dubai Police's history.

Mohammed condoles Sultan-ul-Bohra 

The condolences of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, were conveyed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and of Emirates Group, to Mufaddal Saifuddin, the new head of the Bohra community, on the death the former Sultan ul Bohra, Dr Mohammad Burhanuddin.

Sheikh Ahmed conveyed the condolences during his visit to Mumbai, where he offered his heartfelt condolences to Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin.
