Mohammed receives President of Uganda

The Ugandan president hailed Emirates airline's launch of flights between Dubai and Kampala noting that the flights contribute to building bridges for trade, tourism and cultural exchange between the two sides. (Wam)

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, on Monday evening at Zabeel Palace.

During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed and President Museveni exchanged views on the latest regional issues of mutual interest, and ways to enhance friendship and cooperation in all fields between UAE and Uganda. They also explored potential of establishing investment partnership between the two countries, especially in sectors of transport and tourism.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group; Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation;  Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs; Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water and head of the honourary mission accompanying the Ugandan president; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of Dubai Ruler s Court; Musleh Ayedh Al Ahbabi, Charge d'Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Uganda; Henry Okello Oryem, Ugandan Minister of State for International Affairs; Irene F.P. Wekiya, and members of the delegation accompanying the Ugandan president.

 

Mohammed to lead UAE delegation to 35th GCC Summit in Doha             

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is leading the UAE delegation to the 35th annual Gulf Cooperation Council Summit, scheduled in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.

The UAE delegation to the two-day GCC summit includes Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD); Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy; Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy; Lt General Misbah bin Rashid AI Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice President; Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai; and Saleh Mohammed bin Nara Al Ameri, UAE Ambassador to Qatar.
