Mohammed tours International Horse Fair

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Saturday toured the 9th edition of the three-day Dubai International Horse Fair, the Middle East’s largest equine exhibition, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Sheikh Mohammed, accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, and other officials, viewed a wide range of products services, equipment and technology from more than 200 leading international and local companies and organisations.

Sheikh Mohammed also stopped at the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing’s traditional Heritage Village, where he viewed the UAE’s authentic cuisine, clothing, handicrafts, and calligraphy.

Later, Sheikh Mohammed watched along with Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, and Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed, the final round of the 10th Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship.

Sheikh Mohammed presented the gold cup to Sheikh Ammar for the winning of Ajman Stables of the race.
Organisers allocated $ 4 million for winners.

Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai attended the 120-km Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup race held at the Dubai International Endurance City in Saih Al Salam today.

The second day’s activities were also attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a number of Sheikhs, horse owners and endurance race enthusiasts.

Rashid Ahmed Al Baloushi managed to clinch the title of the four-stage Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup finishing in 4:04:32 hours. The second place went to Yousef Ahmed Al Baloushi finishing in 4:05:35 hours, whereas the third place went to rider Butti Mohammed Al Marri who finished the race in 4:05:54 hours.

On the sidelines of the endurance event, Sheikh Mohammed, accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, toured a photography exhibition for the Emirati photographer Ali Eisa Juma whose work skillfully documents horse race events in the UAE.

On Friday, Sheikh Mohammed attended the first day of the Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup Festival 'Private Stables/Individuals' race, held at the Dubai International Endurance City in Saih Al Salam.

The first day's activities were also attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan.

Saqr Mohammed Al Marri won the title of the Private Stables/Individuals race of Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup finishing first among 91 participating riders, recording a time of 4:24:11 hours riding 'Rowallan' of Faisal bin Zaíal Private Stables.

Next came Saif Mubarak Al Khaili, recording a time of 4:32:19 hours, followed in third place by Mohammed Ayeda riding 'Pinocchio' from Zabeel Endurance Stables, recording a time of 4:32:57 hours.
