President greets VP for leading UAE team to victory

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai at Al Rodah Palace for catapulting the UAE Endurance Team to victory in the World Endurance Championship held recently in the US State of Kentucky.

Sheikh Khalifa also received along with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid the UAE Endurance Team members in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the UAE President, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of Ruler in the Western Region.

The winning team included Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai, Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmuk Al Maktoum and Ali Al Muhairi.

Sheikh Khalifa expressed his pleasure about the standard of sports in the UAE citing the regional and international achievements in this respect.

He pledged support to sports to sustain and score more victories lauding the role of Emiratis in shouldering responsibilities in all fields.

The UAE President greeted Sheikh Mohammed for leading the UAE team to winning the gold medal in the grand international championship.

Sheikh Mohammed thanked Sheikh Khalifa for his compliments and said the win will be added to the UAE's achievements under the wise leadership of the President.
