Sheikh Khalifa orders humanitarian aid to Libya

The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has instructed the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation to provide urgent relief aid to the Libyan people affected in the current Libyan incidents.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement it is closely following up the events in Libya and is shocked by the violence being suffered by the Libyan people.

The ministry denounced the violence, and damage to the Libya's infrastructure, calling on the Libyan authorities to immediately stop violence and bloodshed.

The ministry called on the United Nations Security Council to intervene to put an end to the bloodshed and violence, and to carry out necessary investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

It expresses its condolences to the Libyan people and to the families of the dead and injured.
