Sheikha Hind receives condolences

The wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum received at Za'beel Palace this evening the Arab women delegations who called to offer their condolences on the death of her son, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, expressed her heartfelt condolences to Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum on the death of Sheikh Rashid.

Sheikha Fatima expressed deep grief and sympathy to Sheikha Hind and sisters of the deceased during her visit to the mourning Majlis at Sheikh Hind's palace in Zabeel. She prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of the deceased with mercy in Paradise and bestow patience and solace on his mother, sisters and Al Maktoum family as well as on the UAE people.

For her part, Sheikha Hind expressed her sincere thanks to Sheikha Fatima for her sympathy and comfort on the loss of her son.

Sheikha Hind also accepted condolences from a number of Sheikhas, women ministers and wives of heads of the diplomatic and consular missions in the state, wives of dignitaries and notables as well as from a crowd of Emirati women.

She accepted condolences from Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan and the accompanying delegation.

Queen Rania expressed her profound sorrow and extended her condolences to the bereaved family. She prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of Sheikh Rashid in eternal peace, and bestow patience and solace on his family and relatives.

Sheikha Hind also received condolences from Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad Al Thani, the wife of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar and the accompanying delegation.

She also accepted condolences from the Kuwaiti delegation, led by Sheikha Anoud Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, and Sheikha Nooriya Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah, while the Bahraini delegation was led by Sheikha Hessa bint Hamad Al Khalifa and Sheikha Najla bint Hamad Al Khalifa.

Sheikha Hind thanked all the Arab women delegations for their gesture and heartfelt solace on the death of her elder son, Sheikh Rashid.
