UAE seeking to bolster ties: Mohamed

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received today Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of the Republic of Georgia, at Al Bahr Palace, for talks about ways of enhancing co-operation and friendship to serve mutual interests, particularly in economic, investment, trade and developmental areas.

Sheikh Mohamed emphasised that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is seeking to bolster bonds of co-operation and friendship with friendly countries and elevate joint partnerships with them.

Co-operation between the UAE and Georgia, His Highness affirmed, was witnessing steady, diverse growth.

The Georgian Prime Minister expressed his delight at visiting the UAE, emphasising his country's desire to promote and expand ties with the UAE in all domains that realise the interests of the two friendly countries.

The two sides exchanged views on wide-ranging issues on the latest regional and international developments, and topics of mutual concern.  

Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs (ZHO), and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, attended the meeting.

Mohamed receives Russian official

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received today at Al Bahr Palace Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and her accompanying delegation.

Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, accompanied the visiting Russian delegation.

Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the Russian official and discussed with her co-operation and friendship between the UAE and the Russian Federation, and ways of developing them to serve the common interests of the two countries.

During the meeting, they reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest pertaining to parliamentary affairs, particularly with regard to co-ordination and co-operation in the political, economic and humanitarian files.

The two sides also reviewed the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.

Among others present were  Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister; Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs (ZHO); Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.

On the Russian side, those who attended the meeting were Alexander Efimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the UAE; Ilyas Magomed-Salamovich Umakhanov, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia; Vladimir Djabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs, and other senior Russian officials.
