UAQ govt allows flexible working hours

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, has issued a Law on the issuance of the Human Resources Law in the government of Umm Al Quwain.

Law No. 01 of 2016 includes 16 chapters and 175 articles and shall come into force three months following its issuance.

The Law defines days and official working hours, public holidays and weekends.

Any governmental entity, based on its work needs and requirements and after coordination with the administrative unit of the Executive Council, may apply a flexible system of working hours provided that this system shall be announced to the clients of this government entity.

In all cases, working hours shall not be less than the number of official working hours prescribed by executive regulations.
