The Dubai Court of Appeal upheld a four years jail term awarded by the First Instance Court to a 36-year-old Emirati mother of three for taking drugs charge on last October.
According to the accusation sheet, on July 4, the mother accompanied her daughter to Rashid Hospital. It was shocking for the hospital staff to see the mother in an abnormal condition as she looked like a drunk and was hallucinating.
The staff informed police at the hospital and took the necessary measures to take urine sample of the suspect.
She tested positive for morphine.
