KLM has launched its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Dubai, with the arrival of the first flight at Dubai International Airport, from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on December 17.

Dubai is the second UAE destination served by the Dreamliner following the launch of the inaugural flight to Abu Dhabi, last month - the first KLM route to be served by the new aircraft.

KLM now operates a daily direct service from Abu Dhabi to Amsterdam, connecting the Dreamliner's 294 passengers into KLM's global network of destinations.

KLM's new, state-of-the-art Dreamliner offers unprecedented levels of comfort in air travel and a new in-flight experience for passengers.

In business class, passengers enjoy 2.07m long full flat seats, full privacy and direct access to the aisle. Passengers travelling in economy class will appreciate the new seats, which offer 40% more recline. All passengers have access to a power socket for recharging mobile devices, larger cabin windows, state-of-the-art inflight entertainment system, and onboard Wi-Fi.

Gilles Roche, General Manager for Air France KLM Gulf, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan, commented: "KLM is proud to welcome our second Dreamliner to the UAE with this new flight to Dubai. The UAE's two major cities are key routes for KLM, as we servepassengers based in the UAE and the GCC region. The daily direct flight to Amsterdam provides the ideal gateway into our global network, from the Middle East."
