Leukemia patient finds true love in an ambulance driver

Love works in mysterious ways and this turned out to be true for Lynsey Austin from Hemlington.

Lynsey who suffers from Leukemia often requires immediate medical attention.

During this journey to the hospital she met the ambulance driver Glenn Harker who would often take her for the lifesaving treatments.

Glenn, 42 made her journey extraordinary.

“I was going for a bone marrow biopsy and he made me laugh all the way,” Lynsey told Gazette Live.

The two then became friends on Facebook and have known each other for five years now.

A year ago, on Leysy’s birthday Glenn finally asked her to marry him and the two will soon tie the knot.

“Glenn has been fantastic, a rock for me and my son, Ethan who is now 13,” she said.
