Live worm in sandwich wiggles before the first bite

A live worm in a sandwich. This is not the name of one of Alfred Hitchcock films but that was what actually happened to a Saudi woman when she bought a sandwich and was about to take a big bite to quench her hunger.

The woman in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah believes she was lucky when she looked at the sandwich just as she opened up her jaw for a big bite.

“I suddenly saw something moving as if it was trying to find a way out….it was a live worm,” the furious woman said, quoted by Sabq newspaper.

“When I told the restaurant worker, he simply and coolly said it could be because of the tomato…..he offered me a free sandwich but I told him that I will complain to the authorities so they will take measures against this restaurant.”

What made the unknown woman even madder was that the restaurant belongs to the King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s second largest city.
