Lottery winner dies bankrupt

Colombo - Money can destroy lives too and Sunil was no exception. Sunil who won Rs5 million in a lottery was found dead inside a well. It is reported that from the time he won the lottery, he began drinking and ended up bankrupt.

His wife and children left him unable to bare his behaviour after he won the cash. It is understood that he fell into a well in the night. It is, however, not clear if he fell or had been pushed in.

Police have now launched an inquiry into Sunil's death.
