Lover chooses prison over girlfriend

A Kuwaiti man who was arrested for pushing his girl friend to leave her home and elope with him was given a way out by marrying her. But he chose prison.

The family of the unnamed teen age girl had reported her absence from home to and suspected that man was behind her escape.

“Police found the girl at the man’s apartment and arrested him…she told them she ran away with him because he loves her,” Alwatan newspaper said.

“Police then asked him to marry her and end the problem…but he refused, prompting the police to refer him to the prosecutor for trial.”
