Maid on picnic falls to death in pit

An Ethiopian housemaid accompanying her employing family on a picnic in a valley in the Gulf kingdom fell to her death in a pit.

The maid was strolling in the place when she plunged into the deep pit, which was hidden by piles of earth and grass.

Civil defence in the Southern town of Turba plucked the maid and rushed her to hospital but she died on the way, according to Sada newspaper.
