Malaysian air disaster averted: Plane on fire
Even as Malaysia and the world is still mourning the crash of MH370, another near-miss aviation incident has been reported.
A Malaysian domestic plane had to turn back when its engine caught fire, ‘The Star Online’ reported.
The flight was carrying local football players who were returning home after winning a match.
Thanks to the pilot who acted swiftly and switched off the burning engine, another tragedy was averted, ‘Inquirer.net’ said quoting other reports.
The news went public when one of the players posted a picture of the burning engine on social media pages and said the plane turned back and landed in Subang Airport in Selangor, according to The Star Online.
