Man caught stealing power pole in midday

A Bangladeshi man in Saudi Arabia tried to rip a nine-metre-high power pole out of its base in a daring midday robbery that ended up in his arrest. When police tried to question him, he first pretended to be deaf mute.

“A police man saw him trying to dismantle the pole and chased him…he later caught him,” Kabar newspaper said in a report from the western port of Jeddah.

“At the police centre, he pretended to be deaf mute…but he later started to talk under the pressure of interrogators.”
