Man dies after falling in Saudi well

An expatriate worker died after he fell down into a water well in Saudi Arabia and police said they were investigating the incident.

The worker was on duty at a farm when he lost balance and plunged down into the 10-metre-deep well in the Western town of Taif, Ajel daily said.

It said civil defence rescuers plucked the worker out but he was already dead, adding that it was nearly half filled with water when the incident occurred.
